If I’m not the first site you’ve seen while looking for a wedding photographer, you’ve no doubt seen a lot of talented photographers showing beautiful posed images, nicely setup scenes of the details like the rings, flower arrangements, and many more. It’s a beautiful and incredibly popular way of photographing a wedding and I think it misses the entire purpose of your wedding, sharing an awesome step in your life with the people that mean the most to you and more importantly, the moments you and them are experiencing.

I believe a photojournalistic approach to weddings is so incredibly important because it doesn’t just show what you, your family and friends looked like that day, it shows who you all are as a person.

Think about your favorite photos of people close to you, are they planned out and posed or a candid capture of a moment, there is no wrong answer but if it’s the candid image we should talk.
